Frequent patterns in postoperative shoulder rehabilitation

Schlussfolgerung Shoulder“ erfordern Mobilisation passive aktive skapulothorakal. „normal“ beweglichen bietet optimale Bedingungen progressive Belastungen. Bei subakromial reduzierter bieten Bent-over-Buchstabenübungen an, vorherrschenden Teufelskreis durchbrechen.

Fundamental principles of shoulder rehabilitation: conservative to postoperative management.
Until relatively recently, the role of the scapula in the clinical evaluation and treatment of shoulder and upper extremity disorders has received little attention from clinicians. Most physicians have been trained to diagnose and treat shoulder pathology and dysfunctions in an isolated manner, rather than in the context of the kinetic chain of function. In this instructional course, we hope to...
Robotics in shoulder rehabilitation.
In the last few decades, several researches have been conducted in the field of robotic rehabilitation to meet the intensive, repetitive and task-oriented training, with the goal to recover the motor function. Up to now, robotic rehabilitation studies of the upper extremity have generally focused on stroke survivors leaving less explored the field of orthopaedic shoulder rehabilitation. In this...

their rehabilitation. passive range of motion. The main treatment involves proper shoulder exercises and joint mobilization to break up adhesions at the joint capsules and improve joint mobility and functions. However, due to a lack of persistence, not all patients complete rehabilitation. To address this, we created a virtual reality game-based treatment system that encourages patients to part...
Rehabilitation for shoulder instability.
Both structural and non-structural components can contribute to shoulder instability. Classification and therefore management must recognise these factors to achieve functional stability. This paper discusses a classification system proposing three types of shoulder instability recognising the structural and non-structural components and that a continuum exists between pathologies. Structural c...
Shoulder muscle activity and function in common shoulder rehabilitation exercises.
The rotator cuff performs multiple functions during shoulder exercises, including glenohumeral abduction, external rotation (ER) and internal rotation (IR). The rotator cuff also stabilizes the glenohumeral joint and controls humeral head translations. The infraspinatus and subscapularis have significant roles in scapular plane abduction (scaption), generating forces that are two to three times...
